This policy covers the iOS app Stayplan: Schengen 90/180 and its widget. Our website policy is at nmcapps.com/privacy.
1. Your trip data stays on your device
Trips, travellers and dates are stored only on your device. The app and its widget share this data in an on-device App Group container. There is no account. We have no server for trip data and we never receive it.
If iCloud sync is enabled in a future version, data would be stored in your private iCloud database, which we cannot access. We would update this policy before releasing it.
The app never accesses your location.
2. Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives purchase and receipt data and an anonymous app user ID so it can verify what you are entitled to. It does not receive your name or email address from us.
3. Product analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in its EU Cloud (Frankfurt, EU region), to understand how people use the app. It receives anonymous usage events only:
- onboarding started and completed;
- paywall viewed and closed;
- plan selected, trial started, purchase, restore.
Each event carries an anonymous random identifier, the app version, device model, OS version and language. Analytics contain no trip data and no location. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell data.
4. Notifications
Alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not pass through any server of ours.
5. Retention and deletion
Trip data remains on your device until you delete it or delete the app. PostHog keeps analytics events for up to one year and then deletes them. The anonymous identifier is not shown in the app, so we cannot look up your events for you. If you want analytics data deleted, email us and we will delete what can be associated with your request.
6. Children
Stayplan is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
7. Legal basis and your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Our legal basis is legitimate interest for anonymous analytics and contract for purchases. You have the right to access, delete and object to the processing of data about you. To use these rights, contact us below. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices change. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
